Another reason corporatism is bad, is the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company. In 1914 workers of the CFI were on strike, because 14-hour workdays, in filthy conditions. The Colorado National Guard and the CFI, assaulted and killed 24 people, including women and children. John D. Rockefeller, the owner of CFI, was charged for any crime.
Philip Morris, one of the leaders in producing cigarettes, targets their products upon teenagers and continues to dodge lawsuits. Even though cigarettes cause 1 in 5 deaths, in the U.S. alone.
In 2006, 10,000 subsistence diamond diggers took over the Marange diamond field, in Zimbabwe. Government helicopters were soon flying over the unlicensed miners shooting and killing them. The diamond field is now owned by the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation, a corporation which is a government affiliate.
In 2013 a wrongful death lawsuit was filed against Dole fruit company. This lawsuit was filed due to the deaths of 73 Colombians. These deaths, committed by Dole, range from killing union leaders to using terror tactics to halt resistance. Even their competitors, like Chiquita, have been involved in these scandalous as well too.
The Shell gas company has been accused of poisoning water, burning billions of dollars worth of natural gas, murder, and destroying villages to install pipelines. These accusations were brought up in court, but was dismissed due "lack of subject matter jurisdiction."
Back when meth was legal in Germany, a corporation known as Temmler Werke, created a alertness enhancer, with met, along with Pervitin. WW2 soldiers, both axis and ally forces, became addicted to Pervitin and sometimes died. Meth is even used in modern day Aderall. Pharmaceutical drugs cause more deaths per year, than illegal drugs.
CITGO, for ten years, has dropped cancer causing gases into Corpus Christi, Texas. These actions committed by CITGO have resulted in premature deaths of dozens of people, and they've gotten away with it.
In the 1870's, the Kansas Pacific Railroad, moved people from Kansas city to Denver. The Railroad company encouraged passengers to shoot the Bison out of the window, just for the fun of it. This encouragement of shooting the bison, resulted in the deaths of other animals, not just bison. This almost lead to near extinction of the bison, which indirectly led to the starvation and death of the Native Americans, since they practically lived off the buffalo.
Monsanto is infamous for their influence on the food industry. But the most deaths caused by Monsanto, take place in India. The Indian farmers are forced to plant the GMO seeds, and when the seeds do not produce any satisfying result. The farmers resort to suicide by drinking Round-Up, which is a Monsanto herbicide.
