Introduction
Anarchism,Voluntaryism, or Anarcho-Capitalism, is the libertarian philosophy that follows the NAP (non-agression principle). The NAP basically states that you can do whatever you want as long as you do not harm anyone or anyone's property. Volutaryists describe freedom as non-coercion.
Voluntaryists see the state or any government power as a violation of the NAP. The reason why they see the state as such, is primarily due to taxation. In fact, they make the case for it by saying taxation is theft, becuause you are threatened with force or imprisionment if you do not pay your taxes. Therefore, they believe, taxation must be abolished.
Privatizing Government
A common question that springs up to the abolishing of taxation is how would utilities be paid and provided for. The Anarcho-Capitalist solution is in the name it self. Let the system of the free market provide services and utilities, by privatizing what government provides. For example, replace the police force with a private security company by pooling resources, crowdfunding, or any other way to generate revenue to pay for the security company.
Misconceptions About Anarchism
There are many misconceptions about anarchism, and one of them in particular is one that has bothered every type of anarchistic throughout the ages. And that misconception implies that anarchy is chaos. Chaos is certainly not the intention of anarchists, true anarchists anyway. In fact anarchists try to avoid chaos as much as possible.
Another misconception is that, according to some people, that without government there would be no roads. This is truly false. there would be roads, they would just be privatized.
